The Western approach to medicine is to treat the symptom; our approach is to establish the root cause of the condition and help you to resolve it.  To us symptoms are merely the body’s way of telling us that there is something more serious going on, deeper down in the body.  Headaches may just be a blocked colon waving a red flag to say “HELP!”

Other examples:
Our bodies ingest toxins from the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breathe, every day.  When our body eliminates these toxins, they could manifest as body odour, bad breath, diarrhoea or a skin rash.  If you visit your overworked GP and tell him you have diarrhoea, he’ll give you something to bung you up.   After all diarrhoea is what you told him you have.  Has the problem been cured or the symptom been masked? 

 Some time later those toxins may choose to escape out of your skin and a rash develops.  You go back to the doctor and tell him the diarrhoea pills worked a treat, but now you have a skin rash.  Now you leave the GP’s with a topical skin cream.  Again, has the problem been cured or the symptom been masked?
