Apricot Kernels are ‘superfoods’. With a slightly bitter, marzipan taste these are perpectly palatable on their own, taken with other dried fruits such as apricots, dates or cranberries, or crushed and mixed with muesli. We recommend you chew the kernels well.
A more palatable way is to soak them first in water. You'll know when they're ready as the skin comes off easily. Then fry them gently in olive oil until they are slightly brown. Let them cool down before sprinkling Fleur de Sel on top.
Not all kernels sold on the health food market contain the bitter ‘marzipan’ taste that characterises the most health effective kernels.
If you are prone to allergies, test with a single kernel first.
