Some years ago I was parking my car on a street in London but didn’t have the right change for the meter.

I asked a passer by if he could help.  Not only did he give me the right change but despite my protestations, he refused to take any money from me.

I was grateful.

A few minutes later I was boarding a bus.  The man in front of me didn’t have enough for his fare so I paid it for him.

He was grateful.

The question I ask myself…..”Would I have paid the man’s bus fare had I not received such goodwill earlier?”.

Whatever answer I come up with, It shouldn’t matter.

Here’s a story I came across on social media that’s worth repeating if only for the kind gesture.
