I received this feedback from a reader (which I thank her for) as it prompted me to review what we offer against what’s being promoted online.
From time to time I flick through the pages of the Health & Wellbeing sections on the online shopping websites for new products or unique approaches to health that might be worth looking into.
More often than not I find the latest products that address particular health conditions to be both overpriced and questionable.
And part of me suspects that some of the products are merely cashing in when a product is ‘hot’.
Don’t get me wrong – if something is worthwhile I will promote it but I’ll always try it out first.
These days we have to be careful with our money.
By way of example there are usually a range of new weight loss products and courses that claim to bring about flat bellies, reduce dress sizes before your wedding or put the “zing” back in your marriage.
There’s also the “secret weapon” for losing weight or the “magic” pills and “miracle” liquid drops that do wonders for your shape and stamina.
They usually don’t.
With these products the buyers have to DO something, when NOT DOING something is what caused their problem in the first place. Fulfilling their dream identity of weighing less or reducing their waist line is why they bought the product in the first place.
Many weight loss products are designed to work only while the buyer is taking them. Once they stop, the pounds pile on again.
If none of this applies to you, you have my respect. But have you ever downloaded an ebook and not read it? Even a free one.

Iodine: Every single cell in your body requires iodine. Long gone are the days when a school matron would dab your graze or cut with cotton wool and iodine. Yet the alternatives of modern medicine don’t even come close to the effectiveness of iodine.
Our bottle of iodine is used almost daily. I always add some drops when loading up a new bottle to the water dispenser in the kitchen. I also add a few drops to a small glass of water at night and rinse the contents around my mouth for 30 seconds before going to bed.
